On my mk4.5 2.0tdci I had all of the above it felt terrible and hard to change gear (manual 6speed). This seemed to detioriate at year 3 after the factory lube wore off the linkages. Dealer wanted £350 to replace linkages, so I tried experimenting and.. I have tried a variety of oils, sprays and greases over the last few months.

I have a Mondeo 2.0 163bhp which i have only just bought but it has a gearbox issue that i was unaware when i bought it. I did test drive it but didn't get above 40 mph. The box seems to be slipping when under acceleration and also if you let off and slow down you feel the car not slowing down smoothly again as if it was slipping.
