If you have a 50mm lens on a full frame, I think the more logical portrait prime to supplement the 50mm is the 100mm over the Canon 85mm F/1.8. As both lenses offer identical build quality of the 100mm F/2 and the added reach of the 100mm over the 85mm is a small but added bonus.

Here is a picture of me taken by my friend with a 20D and the Canon 100mm f/2, ISO 100, f/2.8, 1/2500, RAW and no PP. HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png'. Canon EOS 30D and EOS 3 (35mm Film) Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L.
Product title says "For Canon EF", which indicates canon full frame. Interesting. I only looked on eBay before my last post, and all of them there say for Canon EOS. But in looking now, I see both B&H and Adorama show the 100mm f2 as an EF lens. I’ve held the 50mm 1.8 and it looks very much like the Canon 50mm 1.8, which is for full frame or EOS.
